Here at Matlacha Wellness, we believe yoga is about creating balance in your body through both strength and flexibility. The purpose of yoga is to connect your mind, body, and spirit through breath.
The Art of Living Yoga is a holistic way of life that integrates all elements of the ancient knowledge of Yoga. Its aim is to make a prayerful discipline, uniting the body, mind, and soul. Along with a series of simple, effective yoga postures and breathing techniques, a greater emphasis is placed on the inner experience of meditation, for the well-being of the mind and other hidden elements of human existence.
There are many positive health benefits to practicing yoga.
They include improved flexibility, stronger muscles, better sleep, improved digestion, perfect posture, healthier joints, stronger spine and bones, increased blood flow, healthier lymph nodes, lower blood pressure, improved mood and increased happiness, healthier nervous system, boosted immune system functionality, adrenal gland regulation, lower blood sugar, higher self-esteem, more inner strength, decreased pain, and increased mental focus.

Matlacha Wellness offers a full menu of private, semi-private, and group yoga classes.
Many people prefer private sessions for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you are new to yoga or have a special physical or emotional concern. Maybe, you just prefer the confidentiality of the one-to-one experience. In private sessions, your instructor may draw from Yoga, Pranayama (breathing techniques), Meditation, Restorative Yoga, and/or Ayurveda to create an experience that supports you in living your best possible life.

Wednesday – 9:15 am – Strength & Balance Flow
Thursday – 6:00 pm – Wind Down Flow
Friday – 11:00 am – Flexible Friday Flow
