Welcome to Pine Island’s newest and most complete yoga and fitness studio!

Located at the center of beautiful Pine Island,  Matlacha Wellness is excited to offer this new location and a selection of new services.

We are proud to currently offer Yoga, Group Personal Training, Cardio Resistance Training, Mindfulness, Stretching.

All classes take place at the Matlacha Wellness Island Studio which is located at 5261 Pine Island Rd, Bokeelia, FL 33922

Chair Yoga

Tuesdays , 11:00 – 12:00 PM

Chair yoga is a modified yoga class where you perform all the yoga moves from a chair.  This is a great form of yoga for anyone with balance problems or severe joint pain.  You will get the same great benefits of yoga, without the pain and discomfort.

This class is designed for all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced, and should be accessible and enjoyed by most, if you have certain limitations, please let our instructor know before the class begins so variations can be explained to you during the class.

Flow Yoga

Mondays 10:30 – 11:30 AM
Wednesdays & Fridays 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM

Sue will keep your body moving with this great flow yoga class.  After all the training she has done in India, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.  But don’t get intimidated, she is over 70 years old and can work with a complete novice or an expert. 
Flow yoga is designed to keep you moving.  You will continuously move from one pose to the next.  This is a great class if you don’t like sitting still too long.

Small Group Personal Training

Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:30-10:30 AM & 5-6 PM & Saturdays at 9-10 AM

Whatever your health and fitness goals may be, Matlacha Wellness small group training works with you every step of the way.  Our programs include free weights, bands, body weight, stretching, and balance.  With our help you will live longer, healthier, and happier.

Our personal training programs get you the results of one-on-one training but at a fraction of the cost.  All of our group training includes a nutritional program.

This class is designed for beginners to advanced, and should be accessible and enjoyed by most. This class is limited to 8 people, so reserve your spot today!

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction – MBSR

Tuesdays 4 PM

Mindfulness can be described as the practice of paying attention in the present moment, and doing it intentionally and with non-judgment.  Mindfulness meditation practices refer to the deliberate acts of regulating attention through the observation of thoughts, emotions and body states. Typical mindfulness activities include:

  • Mindful non-judgmental awareness of breath, body, feelings, emotions and/or thoughts (in sitting meditation practice or throughout the day)
  • Mindful walking meditation
  • Mindful eating
  • Mindful body scan in a sitting or lying down position
  • Listening with non-judgment

Cardio Resistance Training

Wednesdays & Fridays 9:00-10:00 AM

Cardio resistance with Coach Ty is a fun yet challenging class where we will work, dance, and laugh our way through stretching, cardio, and strength resistance movements.  Join us Wednesdays and Fridays at 9 AM and let’s outwork, out-hustle, and outperform!
